Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Few almonds (chopped)
Few cashew nuts (chopped)

Method:

1. First of all prepare sugar syrup by adding 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water in a pan. Heat it until the sugar melts. Keep boiling it for further 8- 10 minutes on medium flame. Consistency of sugar syrup should neither be thin nor thick.

2. Take 500 ml milk in another vessel and heat it. Add cardamom powder and 1/2 tsp sugar in it. Allow it to simmer till the milk become thick and creamy. Keep stirring in between to avoid burning. Turn off the flame when the milk remains 1/4th of the actual quantity. Rabri is ready.

3. Cut bread slices into 2 halves. Fry all of them in clarified butter to golden brown. Once all the slices get fried dip them completely in sugar syrup one by one.

4. Now take thick creamy milk which we made called rabri. Spread it on all the bread slices one by one and sprinkle chopped almonds and cashew nuts on it. Delicious shahi tukda is ready. You can have it hot or cold as per your taste.
